North & Western Lancashire and East Lancashire Chambers of Commerce are calling on businesses across the region to take part in the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) survey.
COMPLETE THE SURVEY HERE
The LSIP plays a vital role in shaping Lancashire’s education and skills priorities, working closely with local employers, training providers and education institutions to ensure provision reflects real business needs. This survey is your opportunity to influence that direction — to highlight the skills your organisation requires, identify gaps in current training provision, and outline the challenges you face when recruiting or upskilling staff.
As workforce pressures continue across multiple sectors, understanding the realities faced by employers is essential. The survey aims to gather direct insight into the barriers businesses encounter in attracting talent, retaining employees and developing the skills of their existing teams. Your feedback will help ensure that future training programmes, qualifications and support initiatives are aligned with the needs of Lancashire’s economy.
The Chambers are keen to hear from businesses of all sizes and sectors. Whether you are experiencing skills shortages, struggling to recruit in specific roles, or looking for better access to relevant training, your input will help shape practical solutions that support long-term growth across the region.
The survey takes just a few minutes to complete and can be accessed here:

All responses will remain confidential. Company and contact details will only be used for the development of the Local Skills Improvement Plan and will not be shared with third parties. Responses will be anonymised and combined with others, meaning no individual business will be identified.
As an added incentive, one business that completes the survey will be selected to receive a complimentary half-page editorial feature plus an additional half-page advertisement in the North West Lancashire Chamber of Commerce B2B magazine, The Voice. The winning business will be contacted at the start of March.
By taking part, you will help shape Lancashire’s future workforce and ensure that education and training provision reflects the real needs of local employers.
